My Skincare Regime

I've had trouble with my skin for years. Tiny bumps all over my face that would take forever to go away only to be replaced by new ones. I tried everything from Proactive to prescription medications to get my skin to a level that I'm comfortable with, but nothing worked. I would stress out about my skin issues which would result in more skin issues and the cycle would continue. I've finally found the products that have been life-changers and I'm ready to share them with you.

Modern Mod

My mom liked this dress so much, she "just had to borrow it" immediately after this shoot. It's in her possession now along with a few other things from my wardrobe, as usual. No worries, Mom, I got you.

Coffee Table Inspo

I have a slight obsession with coffee table books, you guys.

I don't know what it is, but I think they're fun and beautiful and I love using them to decorate my apartment. It's a great way to express my interests. I flip through them when I have nothing to do and ideas start flowing. Here are the ones currently making an appearance on my coffee table.

But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me.

The last few years of my life have been nothing short of a roller coaster ride. I've struggled with things that I've never thought I'd have to deal with. I've managed to lay a path down for the career that I will, hopefully, pursue full time in the future. I've done my best to face the obstacles that life has thrown my way head on and find ways to build myself up and create a stronger foundation for my life and the people in it. I cannot say that things are ever going to be easy once I make it through this extremely difficult time in my life, but I can say that the Lord will continue to stand with me and strengthen me for whatever new battles I may encounter. My hope is that anyone reading this and struggling with their own hardships finds their inner strength just as I have and knows that no matter what, you will get through it. There will be a time when you look back on this journey and realize that you are a stronger, more well-rounded, self-assured individual than you were before the storm hit you. When the waters calm and the sun comes out, you will be a better person for all you've been through, and you'll have the scars to prove it. God does not give us anything we cannot handle. We are soldiers. Every one of us.

Cozy Layers

Layering is a must when it comes to Southern winters. The morning starts out freezing, but as the day goes on, it gets warmer and warmer. Rather than completely changing my outfit by lunchtime, I tend to go for layers. Lots of them in the morning, and fewer and fewer as the day goes on.

My Netflix Top 5

I'm not afraid to admit that I am a Netflix junkie. And I like those suck you in and never let you go till you've watched all 132 episodes types. I'm not the cool documentary girl or the interesting independent film girl. I like those just fine, but I'm the completely unrealistic high school drama girl. The yeah right, that would never happen emergency room miracle girl. The no crime goes unsolved girl. That's the good stuff right there.
