December Lady Favorites

Hey! What time is it?! Oh, that's right! It's favorites time! Happy December Favorites, my lovely readers! Here we go...

Nivea A Kiss of Milk and Honey-I don't go anywhere without this stuff. I keep one in my bathroom, one in my purse, one in my desk at work... They are everywhere and I love it! I like the smell of this fantastic balm, but mostly I love the way it makes my lips feel! Super moisturizing but not greasy feeling. Try it, now! Please?

Threshold Pinched Pleat Comforter Set-This comforter set is so pretty! I've been on a decorating kick lately (thanks to Pinterest). This set has inspired my bedroom/bathroom/future rest of my apartment makeover! I think the white is so fresh and cozy at the same time. Maybe, if you're lucky, I'll give you little virtual apartment tour once I'm all done. But that will be a long time from now since I've got lots of work to do to get it to where I truly love it.

Bath and Body Works Leaves 3-wick Candle-This candle is everyone's favorite for a reason! It screams fall/winter, but I would burn it year round if it was available. Bath and Body Works describes the scent this way: "a rich blend of golden nectar, ripe apple, and red berries". Run, don't walk, to your nearest store to pick one (or 12) up for yourself! They sell out fast, so you may need to order online, but it's so worth it!

PJ Sets-I love PJ sets! Love! But I never really buy them for myself, so getting one for Christmas was perfect. It's so much more fun than the usual huge t-shirt and leggings that I normally wear.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion-Ulta was recently sold out of the acne spot treatment that I had been using so I desperately went back to this oldie, but goodie, and I'm so glad I did. It's great to mix things up for your skin every few months because your skin will get used to products and they start to not work as well. This spot treatment does wonders for acne overnight! Thanks, Ulta, for being out of my usual product.

See by Chloe Perfume-I got this perfume from boytoy for Valentine's Day last year and it is divine! I wear body spray daily but for special occasions or date nights, I spritz a little of this on my neck and enjoy the subtle scent of bergamot, apple, jasmine & ylang (florals), vanilla, and musk. I also enjoy the compliments I receive when I'm wearing this. Shhh!(;

Succulents-I don't know why I like these so much, but I do. I recently added these faux succulents to a shelf in my bathroom for a little touch of greenery. Remember that decorating kick I told you about? Yeap, here it is again.

Classic Tall UGG Boot-Merry Christmas to me from boytoy!(: Last year, I got tan ones. This year, black. What more could I ask for?! I know Uggs are "so early two-thousands", but I love them. So so so so comfy and cozy!

Altar'd State Annual Sale-I got an email about the annual sale at Altar'd State Saturday and you better believe I threw on my leggings and sweatshirt to get my little butt there only an hour later. I love Altar'd State for the boho vibe their pieces give off. This time, I scored two tops that you'll probably see in future posts!

Alright, 2015, this Lady is ready for ya!

Holiday Season, warm wishes, and optimism for the coming year,
Brittani

MEOW

Happy Christmas Eve Eve!(:
I hope all of you are having a fabulous holiday season!
Today, I'm sporting this cute graphic "MEOW" sweater. An ode to all you pretty cat ladies out there! I'm a cat lady myself...and a dog lady...and a clothes lady (obvi)...and a...ok ok, just kidding, I'm done. Annyyyywayyyy, here's the look!

This cream colored sweater with gray lettering is great because it features a graphic and has some personality to it, while the colors are super neutral and can be paired with anything and everything...hence the maroon pants.

You've seen these pants before in my Under the Bridge post, and they're backkkk(: They are super comfy because of the stretch material.

This turquoise and gold necklace adds another color to the mix and goes great with maroon. I might be a little obsessed with it...no biggie.

I have on these ladylike olive colored flats with a pointy toe to add one more color to the look. Keeping all the colors on small items like shoes and a necklace gives the look a little more personality but is still toned down enough to not be overpowering.

I threw on this stack of pretty bracelets and my go-to gold watch for accessories, and voila!

If I don't see you before then, have a very Merry Christmas!!

Fashionable Snuggie

Brace yourself for what I am about to say...
Wearing this cardigan is like wearing a Snuggie all day long. You remember Snuggies...the blanket with arms that we all got as Christmas gifts that one year? Well at least my family did.
Anyyywayyyy, this cardigan is AMAZING! So comfortable! And cute, too!

I love the print and the warm, cozy fabric (obvi). I cinched in my waist with this elastic belt so that my figure wouldn't be lost in translation.

I threw a solid cami on underneath so that the print on the cardigan would be the main focus.

I also wanted a little color peaking through all the black and white, so I went with this teal skirt. The lacey fabric of the skirt adds more texture to my look, as well...bonus!

Black tights are a must for me in the winter time to keep those pale legs hidden and warm. My favorite wedge booties adorn my feet, as usual.

You guysss! These earrings! I've been eyeing them for soooo long! When I got the Black Friday email from BaubleBar, I knew it was my chance to snag these beauties at a smaller price than usual! I'm so glad I did! They are even more beautiful in person!

Even Olive loves them! This is her excited face...

I hope you're all having a fabulously dressed winter!

PS-Are any of you as obsessed with BaubleBar.com as I am? If you haven't checked it out, do it NOW! Unless you don't want pretty pieces overflowing your jewelry box...

Remembering my Granny today. A year in Heaven and I'll miss her till I see her again.

All about the Poncho

Do you remember being obsessed with something as a kid, then a short time later, asking yourself "what the heck was I thinking?" That obsession for me was a poncho...and guess what? It'sss baaackkk!

 I love the bohemian feel of a flowy poncho and this one doesn't disappoint.
I paired this taupe colored one with jeans and black over the knee boots for a casual look.

My long, gold fringed necklace and wavy/messy hair were my last bohemian touches with this look.
Can I just say, nothing is more comfortable than this poncho?? Nothing.

For a control freak like me, this is a difficult concept to accept. I'm learning (slowly but surely) that the only thing in this world I have full control over is me. To worry about controlling other things so that I like the outcome is a vicious, never ending cycle of stress. I'm learning how to give it to God.

Perfect ponchos, unbrushed hair, and letting go,

PS-Are any of you control freaks like me? Let me know how you deal. I write...everywhere. Check my purse. I have 3 notebooks in there because I know that if I write it down, I can think about it a little less.

Lady in Leather

You guys! This is my final zoo post for a while and I'm sort of sad about it! I had so much fun with these posts!

I'm sporting my favorite pair of leather leggings for you here and I'm loving every second of it! I love that the pants have the front panel of faux leather while the back is made of the usual stretch legging material. This makes them super comfy and not annoying to wear. Easy to move around in, do some high kicks and splits, you know...the usual. Or not. But you get what I'm saying.

I'm wearing this camel colored cowl neck sweater that I also featured in my November favorites post. *I have it in red, too, because I love it that much(;
I'm such a sucker for the black and camel color combo. I think it looks super classy and expensive, even thought these pieces are both Forever21 finds.

My long gold and black stone pendant is making yet another appearance on the blog and I don't mind! She is gorgeous afterall. I needed a long necklace to go under the cowl neck of this sweater, and to keep with the color scheme that I'm dying over, I went with this pretty piece.

You know I wear my favorites over and over. This post is proof of that! Here come my favorite black wedge booties, yet again, because they are amaze! These were also in my November favorites...just sayin.

^^prettiest baby dear in all the land<3

Bye from the zoo! Until next time!(:

Sweater Weather

Hello hello! Another shoot at the zoo today! Hey that almost rhymed...kinda...sorta...not really?
Anyway, there's not much more I love than a huge comfy sweater and this one has got to be one of my favorites.

I love the colors. Navy is a go-to in the fall and winter. I wear it off the shoulder if the temperature isn't too chilly but it looks great worn like a normal sweater, too!

Of course, I paired the sweater with jeans since I am a jeans girl at heart...well & leggings too, but you know that already. The tight skinnies that I'm wearing balance out the hugeness of the sweater. Hugeness? Is that even a word? Oh well.

My cream colored boot socks bring out the cream stripes in the sweater and add that extra layer of warmth and cute(;

^^hey, peacock!^^

I finished the look off with my favorite pair of camel riding boots and my dainty feather necklace.

Doesn't this sweater make you want to curl up with a good book?(:

Making Friends

Ya'll! Can we talk about how cool meeting a giraffe was?! I cannot tell a lie...I was a little freaked out. This beauty is huge, afterall! But wow! What a cool experience! Gabriel and I were fast friends. (;

Now, on to the outfit...
This comfy little dress is perfect for fall/winter. It's made of a fairly thick material that will help to keep me warm (with the help of tights, of course). I love dresses with long sleeves, for some reason, too.

^^see? Lady was scurred!

I paired the dress with cream colored tights and these cute brown, fur-lined boots. The boots are soooo comfy, fyi.

I wore my horn pendant necklace to break up the solidity of the dress, and of course, my usual watch and bracelets.

I loved hanging out with this amazing guy! So much fun!
