I've got that tribal feeling...

It goes without saying that printed dresses like these are my go-to ensemble in the summertime. Throw on a dress, some jewelry, and a cute pair of sandals, and you're good to go.

This one is nice and flowy just how I like it. The print adds some interest. The jagged hemline is another detail I adore about this dress.

I feel like the higher neckline is flattering on those of us who lack curves up top, if you know what I mean.

A long necklace, flat gold sandals, and my usual Free People tasseled bucket bag are all I need before heading out the door.

Messy buns, tribal print, and warm summer days,

Sunday Mornings

The church I attend leans toward a more casual style of dress. Here's what my Sunday Morning style looked like last week.

This printed off-the-shoulder chiffon top is too cute to handle right? I've always leaned toward solids, and when I realized that almost my entire wardrobe consisted of solids, I knew I needed to spice it up a bit. So I found this adorable top on ThreadSence.com and I'm in love!

I think a longer top paired with a nice flared jean is a super chic ode to the 1970's and I can't get enough of that era. It's my favorite if you haven't figure that out!

Platform slide on sandals complete my 70's vibe perfectly while adding even more length to my legs. Gotta love that!

You've seen my horn pendant necklace so many times, but it goes perfectly with so many of my looks, I just can't help myself!

I'm also introducing you to my mom's new doggy. Her name is Roux. If you're not Cajun or have no idea how to pronounce that homestyle name its ROO, as in kangaroo minus the kanga. Haha! It's actually the base of one of my favorite Cajun dishes, gumbo, FYI. She's super friendly and sweet. And obviously pretty photogenic, too(;

PS-I'd also like to add that the sermon at my church yesterday was about asking the Lord to get us through whatever storm we are facing (for we are all facing one) as opposed to asking him to end it. It really spoke to me and I think praying for the strength to get through a storm is far more powerful than wishing for the storm to end.

John 6:16-21
16 When evening came, his disciples went down to the lake, 17 where they got into a boat and set off across the lake for Capernaum. By now it was dark, and Jesus had not yet joined them. 18 A strong wind was blowing and the waters grew rough. 19 When they had rowed about three or four miles,[a] they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the water; and they were frightened.20 But he said to them, “It is I; don’t be afraid.” 21 Then they were willing to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were heading.

We are all fighting our own battles.

Pretty Spring Days

The last full month of Spring is in full swing! Hey, did you catch that rhyme? (;
There's nothing more comfortable and stylish then flowy dresses during this time of year. You don't even have to think about what to pair them with. It's all there for you on one little hanger!
This one, from a local boutique, is a perfectly printed pattern in light blue and white. So crisp and fresh for Spring!

The spaghetti straps keep things casual and free. I love the neckline too. It's more interesting than just a regular old scoop neck. Not that I'm knocking scoop necks because I do love a simple scoop. How many times can I say "scoop" in this post? A whole bunch, apparently.(;

The fresh color scheme on this dress begs for light, dainty jewelry. I went with gold, as I usually do. A long, thin chained necklace paired with a shorter (you can barely even see it) necklace, a couple of elegant bracelets, and my go-to watch did the accessorizing trick.

My favorite sandals from Sam Edelman add a little more pizzazz to my look.

I hope you guys are having a fabulous Spring. Spring and Summer are my favorite seasons. I'm a warm weather kinda girl.
