Back from the 70's

Oh hey guys! I just got back. I time traveled to the 1970's and brought back this outfit.
I'm kidding, I'm kidding! You didn't really believe me, did you?
I didn't think you did.
Annnyyyywayyy, This fun and flirty look was, obviously, inspired by one of my favorite fashion decades...the 70's!

This amazing pair of Free People pants was my starting piece for this look. I am so OBSESSED with them! I wore them for my shoot for City Life Magazine (coming soon to a blog near you) and fell in love! They are comfy, cute, and flattering! All my favorite things in one pair of pants!
Wide leg pants with a high-rise like these, are super flattering on any body shape. They do wonders for lengthening the legs!

I paired my fabulous pants with an equally fabulous floral chiffon top. I love the sleeves on this one. They have a super subtle bell shape which fits in well with the whole 70's inspiration we've got going on.

I finished the look with a pair of wedges to get me off the ground (or my pant legs at the right length) and gold rhinestoned hoops, and I was feeling groovy!

PS-I may have taken the 70's thing overboard with the following photo, but it was all in the name of fashion!

A Little Leather

In celebration of the cool front that passed through Louisiana, I broke out my leather pants last weekend. Although they probably weren't appropriate quite yet, given that the temperatures didn't drop below 70 degrees, I couldn't keep them tucked away any longer! How do you feel about people breaking out their Fall/Winter gear early? In my opinion, rock it when you wanna rock it! If you can suffer through 80 degree weather in a sweater and jeans, then by all means, go for it! I will not lie, I did not last all day in these pants or this scarf, but if I could have, you better believe I would have!

There is something so chic and timeless about an all black look. It's definitely my go-to during winter. 5 days out of 7, you can catch me in head-to-toe black.

This flowy top balances the skin tight leather pants beautifully. I cannot work the tight top, tight bottom look. Props to those of you who can.

This scarf has got to be one of my favorites in my collection (& believe me, I've got plenty to choose from). I love that it has the green accent stripe. It's unexpected and takes the scarf to another level as opposed to being completely leopard. Although, I'm not knocking a full on leopard scarf (I'm hunting for my perfect one at the moment).

I think the boots I'm wearing adds a cool vibe to the look because it extends the faux leather look from hips to toes. Super chic.

Fit with Flare

I'm taking it back a couple decades to the 90s with these black flared jeans, aren't I? I'm obsessed with flares and bell bottoms right now! I just love the look!

I paired these with this flowy gray t-shirt and layered a couple dainty necklaces for a laid-back, casual vibe.

To keep with the 90s theme, I wore these faux Birkenstocks in black, and my look was complete!
